Who are we?
The distillers
Epicureans and lovers of local flavours, Véronique and Stéphane wanted to put their training, readings and visits into practice, to offer you a digest of Ardennes flavours, highlighting the fruits of the earth and the soil, and in particular Ardennes spelt.
Historically, there were many distilleries in the Ardenne, in many villages and hamlets, but none have existed for over 20 years.
Véronique and Stéphane’s aim is to revive this ancestral know-how, while optimising the sustainability of the production process.

- Home-brewed wash from the Brasserie Héritage in Léglise (6km away)
- Distillation mastered by hand by our distillers in a copper and stainless steel still offering a wide range of possibilities

Our infused eau-de-vie L’Angélus has been awarded a Silver Medal at the 2026 Concours International de Lyon. An international recognition that highlights our artisanal, local production and our deep connection to the Ardennes terroir.

What is the Distillerie de l'Ambassadeur?
The Distillerie de l’Ambassadeur is a craft distillery integrated into the Domaine. It showcases local raw materials, in particular Ardenne spelt, grown at the Ferme de Habaru and brewed to our recipe at the Brasserie Héritage in Léglise.
What products does the Distillery make?
The Distillery produces Esprit d’Épeautre, an eau-de-vie made from local spelt, l’Angélus, a naturally infused eau-de-vie with plants, flowers and berries from the Ardenne, and Nectar d’Angélus, an artisanal liqueur made from l’Angélus and local honey. A 100% Walloon whisky is currently maturing in Walloon oak casks and will be available from autumn 2027. To follow our news and new releases, you can ask to be added to our newsletter.
How should I enjoy the Distillery's eaux-de-vie?
Esprit d’Épeautre, l’Angélus and Nectar d’Angélus can be enjoyed in several ways: as an aperitif with a mixer or sparkling water, in a cocktail, or as a digestif, neat or on the rocks. Find your favourite moment.
Can I visit the Distillery?
Yes, guided tours are available. They last between 1 and 1.5 hours and take you behind the scenes of our craft distillation: how the still works, the distillation process, our local raw materials and their transformation, and ageing in Walloon oak casks. The tour ends with a guided tasting of our products. The price is €10 per person, with a minimum of €50 for a private visit. Booking is required.
