The estate
Anchored in its history and its region, the Domaine de l’Ambassadeur aims to promote the rich heritage of the Ardenne while making a commitment to sustainable development.
Set in the heart of the Haute Sûre Forêt d’Anlier Nature Park, it showcases the surrounding natural landscapes and offers peace and tranquillity.
Established since 1771 in the heart of the village of Ebly, it combines tradition and modernity. A former diversified farm, it continues to promote local products, supporting local farmers and craftsmen.
With its heritage of hospitality, the Domaine offers a warm and friendly welcome.

Presentation
The ambassadors
Seduced by this beautiful 250-year-old building, we were driven by the desire to breathe new life into it. Drawing on our business training and our various professional experiences, and thanks to numerous collaborations, we were able to give birth to this magnificent project.
We’d now like to become Ambassadors of the Ardenne, to share with you our love for this region, which we regularly explore on foot or by bike.
We invite you to discover this corner of paradise, changing with the seasons but always a source of wonder, so that every day is an enchantment along the way.

Our commitments
We have designed Domaine de l’Ambassadeur around 2 strong commitments: sustainability and authenticity.
Our commitment to sustainability is reflected in our management of heating and hot water using a combination of renewable energies and storage facilities; the replacement of towels on request; the honesty bar, which replaces individual fridges in the rooms; the promotion of local products; and the choice of local partners who share our values.
Our estate welcomes you in all its authenticity: respecting its history, with some of its historic materials preserved, and having preserved its aesthetics and soul.
On this website or in the Domaine, the nature photos designed to arouse your curiosity and inspire you to explore our region represent the authentic Ardenne! They are all snapshots taken during our walks in the surrounding area.
The ambassador
This was the home of Mr J. Raoul Schoumaker and his wife Cécile Alexandre. A career diplomat, Mr JR Schoumaker was Belgium’s ambassador to Vietnam, China and the United States in the second half of the 20th century.
His ceremonial uniform will welcome you personally. We thank his children for the honour of entrusting him to us.
Today, the Domaine becomes the ambassador of the Ardenne to its visitors. Come and discover our tips for making the most of the region’s warm welcome, landscapes, nature, local products and crafts.
